FAQs

Do you also tattoo in color?

Of course!  Our artists specialize in a range of different art forms including black and grey, color, Polynesian, watercolor and geometric.

Do you charge a deposit?

Yes, we charge a $50 deposit on all tattoo appointments.  The deposit is applied to the final cost of your tattoo on the day of your appointment.  Should you miss your appointment or cancel 24 hours or less before your appointment, your deposit is non refundable.

The deposit you give us is a contract between the artist and the client.  We honor that contract by reserving a time slot solely for you and completing the agreed upon artwork.  We tell other potential clients that this time is already booked.  Your obligation is to arrive on time, sober, clean and ready for the session.  When you cancel at the last minute or are a no show, we not only lose your payment, but also the payment of those whom we have turned away.  This is why we charge a deposit.

I want a tattoo but I’m on a limited budget. How do you determine pricing?

Not a problem!  This is Hawaii, we understand limited budgets.  It is very important to us to make sure we accommodate our clients as word of mouth and returning business is what keeps us going!  During your consultation, we will discuss your budget and how we can get you what you want in your price range.  Smaller pieces are usually done at a flat rate while larger pieces are hourly at $160 per hour depending on the artist.

Can you give me price quote?

Yes!  We offer free in person consultations in order to make sure you and your artist know exactly what you want.  During a consultation, our artist sits down with you to discuss your needs and wants including sizing and price.  At this time you can schedule an appointment to get tattooed with the artist.

This is my first tattoo, what do I do after I get tattooed?

We have a lot of first timers and we understand the anxiety the healing process can cause.  We are here for you!  We welcome any questions you may have and offer an after care sheet with explicit instructions on what products to use and how to care for your tattoo properly.

Does it hurt?

Believe it or not, we get this question daily.  Yes, tattoos hurt.  Needles filled with pigment are inserted into the second layer of the skin (the dermis layer) to create the tattoo.  We can best describe the feeling as a cat scratching on a sunburn.
